Navien Tankless Water Heater Sacramento

What are the Advantages of Tankless Water Heaters?

First and foremost, tankless water heaters (also known as instant hot water heaters or on-demand heaters) use up to 50% less energy than traditional water tanks. This also saves you money because you're not keeping 50 gallons of more water hot continuously on the chance that it may be needed.

Beyond the energy and cost savings, they also supply hot water on-demand, wasting far less water as you wait for it to warm.

Are There Any Disadvantages to Tankless Water Heaters?

The biggest disadvantage to tankless water heaters Elk Grove is the cost that you pay up-front to own them. Smaller heaters often don't provide enough hot water for the average sized families. What's more, they only serve one faucet at a time and don't work concurrently. So if you want to shower while the dishwasher is running, you're out of luck. Larger units can handle these demands easily, but they are more expensive.

It's important to note that heaters, because of the high powered elements within them that heat the water on-demand, need a dedicated venting system that's sealed. This is not something that you can do yourself and requires professional installation. This requirement is the same whether you have a gas or an electric tankless water heater, with the main difference being that tankless gas water heaters need a larger pipe, which in turn adds to the cost of installation.

Water Heater Installation & Repair Contractor in Davis, CA

Think of a traditional water heater -- it's large, unwieldy and takes up a ton of space. It's also hugely energy inefficient. A tankless water heater takes up a lot less space, and it only heats water as it's needed. In short, tankless water heaters Davis work by having cold water travel through your pipes into the tankless heater, where it's heated by gas or water elements and then passes onto where it's needed, like the shower or sink. This means you always have on-demand hot water, but without the excessive waste and use of space that traditional water tanks need.

Of course, being that tankless water heaters are rather small, larger families or those that go through a lot of hot water may have more than one heater installed. Whether you go through a lot of dishes, a lot of loads of laundry or there are a lot of people taking showers, multiple tankless water heater installation is a smart idea.

Gas vs. Electric Tankless Water Heaters

Gas and electric tankless water heaters both work the same, with the exception being the element that heats the water. Electric tankless heaters are more efficient overall (with a rating of around 98% or more efficiency) while natural gas tankless water heaters hover around 85% at most. But with the high cost of electricity, gas water heaters Davis CA can be cheaper to run overall and generally last longer than their electric counterparts.

Olviya I.yelp
We bought a fixer upper last November, and had West Coast Hydronics & Plumbing do a ton of work for us. They say to never try to do plumbing yourself, and after seeing (and hearing about) the work that Roman and his team did on our home, I couldn't agree more. Save yourself the headache, and hire WCHP to take car of your plumbing needs. They are dependable, and get the job done right-the first time! For those interested in the details: we had them add 1/2 a bathroom, move the laundry hook-up, relocate the main water shut off valve, hook up the double and single bathroom vanity, install 2 toilets, and a new kitchen faucet with a garbage disposal and an ice maker hook up. We are very pleased with the quality of the service and work provided, and will recommend WCHP time and time again.

About Davis, CA

The city of Davis in California is situated west of Sacramento. Patwin Native Americans previously inhabited this land. In the 1830s, disease decimated most of the Patwin population. Many of the survivors left the area. In the 1840s, the first immigrants from Europe settled on this land. With the arrival of new settlers in the following decades, They cultivated the rich soil and raised cattle.

Davis, initially named "Davisville," is derived from a 12 000-acres ranch owned by Jerome and Mary Davis. In 1907, the post office shortened the town name to "Davis." A decade later, the term became incorporated as Davis.

In the 1860s, the California Pacific railroad bought a large portion of this ranch. The Davis Junction was constructed and operational in 1868. This railroad line connected the Eastern Bay Area to Sacramento and the central valley. As the railroad lines increased in the area, so did the population of the city. In 1908, the University State Farm opened near Davis and was instrumental, through its enrollments, to increase the population. Today, the town is university-orientated, with more than 66 000 residents.

For decades, cycling has been prevalent in Davis. UC students and school children widely use this mode of transport. In the 1970s, the city was instrumental in implementing cycling facilities. Today, the city residents enjoy an extensive network of grade-separated crossings for bicycles, bike paths, and bike lanes. In the United States, the only city with a high wheel bicycle as its logo is Davis.

The city has several unusual attractions. Bohart Museum of Entomology is invisible at first glance. The museum is on the campus of UC Davis, in the Academic Surge Building. room 1124 is where you can see a collection of more than 6 million insects. The insects are from Madagascar, Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, and Australia. This collection of insects was developed over the decades by Richard M. Bohart. He and his wife travel abroad as well to add specimens to his collection. Visitors and residents of the city will have the pleasure of viewing exotic and rare species of insects, and more than likely, the opportunity to hold a few of the live creepy-crawlies.

Many events and sights contribute to make Davis the vibrant city that it is. The Farmer's Market is open every Wednesday and Saturday morning. The market is where you can stock up on a whole range of everything from baked goods to plants and flowers.

Picnic Day is an annual event at the University of California, Davis. It takes place in April. It is unique because it is the biggest student-run event in the United States. The “Celebrate Davis” is an annual festival presented by the city's Chamber of Commerce with stalls, music, as well as food and activities such as rock-climbing and zip-lining.

“Eggheads”, each weighing several hundred pounds, can be seen scattered on the campus around the University of California. There are seven Eggheads in total. Davis Toad Tunnel is a wildlife crossing. This six-inch tunnel allowed frogs (not toads, regardless of the project's name) to avoid a new overpass. The tunnel entrance, situated close to the Post office, was decorated by Davis’s postmaster to look like a toad town. He named it Town Town. Ted Puntillo, Snr. published "The Toads of Davis," a children's' book in 2000. The book tells the story, as seen by the toads, about the Davis Toad Tunnel.

To cross the marshy flatlands if of the Yolo bypass, motorists needed a causeway. The city of Davis built one. Since then, many vehicles have traveled with the help of this causeway. In the 1970s, a new species came along for the ride on the elevated roadway: Bats. In every summer, roughly 1/4 million migrating Mexican free-tailed bats nestle between the Yolo causeway's expansion joints.

The concrete overhead keeps them warm, and they give birth to baby bats between flights. The area above the causeway is thick with bugs for food. Long ribbons of the bats climb into the skies above the wet marshlands at dusk. This whole spectacle takes place above one of the most significant wetlands restoration projects in the country's western part. The bats are now celebrities in Davis.
