What are the Advantages of Tankless Water Heaters?

First and foremost, tankless water heaters (also known as instant hot water heaters or on-demand heaters) use up to 50% less energy than traditional water tanks. This also saves you money because you're not keeping 50 gallons of more water hot continuously on the chance that it may be needed.

Beyond the energy and cost savings, they also supply hot water on-demand, wasting far less water as you wait for it to warm.

Are There Any Disadvantages to Tankless Water Heaters?

The biggest disadvantage to tankless water heaters Elk Grove is the cost that you pay up-front to own them. Smaller heaters often don't provide enough hot water for the average sized families. What's more, they only serve one faucet at a time and don't work concurrently. So if you want to shower while the dishwasher is running, you're out of luck. Larger units can handle these demands easily, but they are more expensive.

It's important to note that heaters, because of the high powered elements within them that heat the water on-demand, need a dedicated venting system that's sealed. This is not something that you can do yourself and requires professional installation. This requirement is the same whether you have a gas or an electric tankless water heater, with the main difference being that tankless gas water heaters need a larger pipe, which in turn adds to the cost of installation.

Water Heater Installation & Repair Contractor in Granite Bay, CA

Think of a traditional water heater -- it's large, unwieldy and takes up a ton of space. It's also hugely energy inefficient. A tankless water heater takes up a lot less space, and it only heats water as it's needed. In short, tankless water heaters Granite Bay work by having cold water travel through your pipes into the tankless heater, where it's heated by gas or water elements and then passes onto where it's needed, like the shower or sink. This means you always have on-demand hot water, but without the excessive waste and use of space that traditional water tanks need.

Of course, being that tankless water heaters are rather small, larger families or those that go through a lot of hot water may have more than one heater installed. Whether you go through a lot of dishes, a lot of loads of laundry or there are a lot of people taking showers, multiple tankless water heater installation is a smart idea.

Gas vs. Electric Tankless Water Heaters

Gas and electric tankless water heaters both work the same, with the exception being the element that heats the water. Electric tankless heaters are more efficient overall (with a rating of around 98% or more efficiency) while natural gas tankless water heaters hover around 85% at most. But with the high cost of electricity, gas water heaters Granite Bay CA can be cheaper to run overall and generally last longer than their electric counterparts.

About Granite Bay

The area of Granite Bay, known initially as Granite Bar, is in Placer county. It is about 25 miles from Sacramento. Granite Bay has a good quality of life because of a sound community plan, good schools, many churches, exceptional recreation opportunities, and a low crime rate.

The powers that be officially recognized this community as Granite Bay in 1987. The Placer County Board of supervisors is the local governing body, and they receive input from the local municipality advisory council. The roots of Granite bay go back to the early 1850s. Gold miners established settlements on both banks of the American River.

Some cattle ranchers also made fair use of the available water and grass on the river banks. In the early history of Granite Bay, there were significant cattle ranches in the area. The road that is today Auburn-Folsom Road was initially called Auburn-Sacramento Road. The locals built it in 1850 to enable miners to travel back and forth with supplies. In the early days, this road was little more than a set of ox-wagon tracks.

Granite Bay got its name from the granite rock in its banks. It was also the place where bandits of old used to lie in wait for their prey. Rattlesnake Dick was one such character. He had once been an honest miner at Rattlesnake Bar before turning outlaw.

The Natoma Company built the north Fork ditch, which allowed miners to surface mine gold and supply water to the area. The water attracted settlers. They planted olives and almond orchards. When the Lake's water surface is low, you can still find rows of stumps at the Granite Bay boat launch ramps. Remains of the old ditch are still visible in some places along the road leading to the Lake from Horseshoe Bar.

A crew concreted the ditch's sides in Granite Bay in 1925, which has helped preserve its visibility. The early residents established roads to connect various settlements to the main road, including Horseshoe Bar, Whiskey Bar, and Rattlesnake Bar.

Today Granite Bay is the ideal place to use as a base when you bring your family on holiday to Folsom Lake. The excellent beach and safe swimming area ensure that this is an unusual and pleasant place for swimming and having fun in the water. It is just 35 minutes drive to downtown Sacramento.

The weather in Granite Bay is pleasant with slight changes now and again, but nothing you can describe as extreme. Granite bay, with a population of around 20 000, has its own post office and zip code. It has a population of just over 20 000. The place is very safe. Granite Bay has a lower crime rate than that of 89 percent of the communities in California. This number is according to an analysis of FBI crime data from the Neighborhood Scout.

Granite bay borders Folsom Lake, the heart of the area. Early farming in Granite Bay fell victim to the development of Folsom Lake. Authorities condemned some of the farmland for developers to fill the Lake. Folsom Lake is a reservoir that provides drinking water to hundreds of thousands of residents and ranchers.

Fast forward to today and Folsom Lake today is a place of fun and relaxation. You can participate in swimming, horseback riding, and golf, to name but a few. The area has fine dining, restaurants, boutiques, and spas. Granite Bay is a beautiful place with a very active real estate market.

With all that inviting water and the beautiful beach at Folsom lake, many visitors make a point to drop in at The Granite Bay snack bar first. They rent out beach equipment such as rafts of all sizes, kayaks, and shade canopies. They cater for family and company picnics as well, offering a group discount.

Two central school districts serve Granite Bay, Eureka Union, and Loomis Union. Both the communities and the individual schools are top performers at the state level. Granite Bay families support local school events and charities. It is a special place to raise a family. Fun events such as Easter egg hunts bring the community together like nothing else. Granite Bay is a community where neighbors treat each other as friends.
